Paris is Silent

The city was so quiet last night. I don't know if I have ever known it so quiet. It's like the whole country is in mourning. It's been so alive for the past few weeks and in a moment it was over. Zidane is a hero here. One of the common chants yelled by the crowd here is "Zizou pour Président". He can do no wrong and everyone believes he must have been severely provoked to react the way he did.

I just can’t believe the World Cup is over. I can't remember what life was like without it.
